A Note From Our Board
What a year it was! Not every group can celebrate its 50th anniversary with a successful concert, the largest audience since before COVID, and a new fund for the future.... plus the excellent ongoing support and appreciation you give our community orchestra!
Thank you for making this musical journey such a remarkable one!
The best part of this is that Sage City Symphony is solid and busy and preparing more performances as we move into the rest of our first century. We continue to offer four full symphony concerts each year, including collaborations with marvelous young musicians such as those who joined us in May and November. Coming up will be the premiere of Allen Shawn’s Concertino for Contrabassoon, performed by William Safford, as well as beloved works, including the Telemann Viola Concerto in G Major, performed
by our own Catharine Hall-Schor, and Brahms’s Symphony #4. And we will continue to offer our concerts free to all, always accessible, with volunteer musicians from all over
the southern Vermont region and neighboring communities. We’ll continue on a shoestring, but....
Even a volunteer orchestra has bills to pay, and we will continue to rely on your generosity, your love of music, and your appreciation for our efforts. We thank you sincerely for all your support and hope you will give now to be assured this remarkable musical adventure can continue! Please click the Donate button, or mail a check payable to Sage City Symphony to PO Box 547, Shaftsbury, VT 05262.
Best,
The Sage City Symphony Board of Directors
